Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st – Fate Testarossa Nendoroid by GSC

Name: Fate Testarossa

Hair color: Blonde
Intelligent Device: Bardiche Assault

Rank (StrikerS): Captain, Lightning Unit, Lightning One

Fate appears in episode 4 with Arf and Bardiche, materializing in the town in search of Jewel Seeds. It is soon apparent that even Fate does not know why she is looking for these specimens of Lost Logia (the series’ term for ancient magical artifacts), but she does not care, stating “I must get them, because my mother wants them.” Fate is not impressed by her young, naive rival, Nanoha, and tells her that her quest is worthless, but Nanoha’s steadfast dedication to reforming Fate gets to her heart, and she begins to wane. However, this does not impress Fate’s mother, Precia Testarossa, who tortures the girl just for not getting all the Jewel Seeds. Fate remains loyal despite Arf’s protests; she remembers a time when Precia was kind and stable, and thinks that the Jewel Seeds will cure her mother’s insanity.

Fate teleports to her home from the top of an office building with complicated coordinates and a bit of magic. She lives in a gloomy hideout in the Garden of Time with her mother and Arf, sharing a room with the latter. She appears in the city whenever she senses a Jewel Seed, as she has no school and nothing else to do. This is also the reason why she spends much of the series transformed.

Another nendroid I got from my sis’s trip ;D Have a look~

The box is in black and yellow colors, matching Fate’s outfit. The design of the box is just your typical nendroid box.

The package comes with a default pose, which I don’t really like since the face looks quite emotionless. She also comes with various arm joints and one additional leg, which is bended. There are two more extra faces as well (ones with more emotions compared to the default one). Of cause, what’s a Fate without a Bardiche? The weapon is separated into the axe and the staff which need to be joined together. Fate’s hands can also be twisted, giving more freedom for certain poses without the need for more arm parts.

The other thing I dislike about this is the cape, which the way it is structured is quite loose. There are no holes or magnet or whatnot to insert the cape. You’re stuck with forcing the cape into Fate’s neck (which is mostly impossible doing it efficiently unless plucking off her head first) and putting the cape in place by pushing the head back in, holding the cape in place like that. All this is quite inconvenient, especially when changing poses.

The set also included Fate’s familiar, Arf, and obviously, compared to her master, she is so much better at standing still without falling off, lol.

She doesn’t even need a stand!

Obama: Yes, we can
Arf: Woof

A day with the cubeecraft ;D

She is small, portable and can fit in anywhere!

Even on top of Domo-kun’s head ;D

  1. Would you happen to have a nendoroid of Fate’s wife and daughter as well? It’s a shame the cape has issues but at least Arf can stand still hanging around cubix Bomberman.
