My Paper Crafts

I have done my fair share of paper crafts. More specifically — super-deformed anime “figures” crafted from paper, basically build from piling up cuboids one after another. I think you may have a rough idea how it looks like (picture above, if it’s not already obvious), as this particular unique type of “figure” (if you can even call it that), actually has it’s own official product line called GraPhig which started around 2013 I believe.

Funnily enough, I have been crafting these even before GraPhig was a thing, as it wasn’t really hard to find the blueprints for them. Sadly I have since thrown these things to god-knows-where, but when I was organizing my pictures the other day, apparently photos of my paper crafts were still around. So I figured, might as well just show you guys while I’m at it. …And yes, this will obviously be another one of those “lazy pictures spam” post thing, and I swear it’s not because I’m running out of ideas to write or anything.

In any case, pictures galore ahead. Enjoy.

  1. I enjoy making crafts out of paper that are similar to this. Usually mine end up being 2D pieces propped up into 3D action via a stand or pop-up book effect. Ever since I was a kid, paper and tape were my best friends. Perhaps I should consider regaining my roots. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Most impressive figures right there. They would make great DLC characters for Lego Dimensions or something like that. They’re that good.
